austin was never in the same echelon of star power as Hogan.
Rock vs Hogan was always the original plan.
It wasn't until 2008-09 that austin marks started spreading rumors that Hogan vs austin was planned.
Hogan vs austin was only brought up in late 2005 when Hogan called austin out on Homecoming RAW episode.
