The internet has made wrestling product change drastically, it is a completely different idea then it was even 15 years ago. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
AEW needs to do stuff with their stars. Like its bad when Bryan Danielson of all people has literally zero momentum and is dead in the water. Remember his match with Omega? The BCC has been awful since its inception. Also, I genuinely hope that CM Punk and AEW can somehow work out their differences, and sometimes I think that this is a crazy elaborate Pillman-esque work that will result in Punk being the hottest heel in the business.
WWE needs to be less polished and more gritty. Its way too sterile, soulless, and anodyne for a wrestling show. However Vince retiring has only been good for the product.
Late 2000s TNA had some peak kino and got waaaay more hate then it deserved.
Wrestling fans in general have the attention spends of goldfish nowadays and change their opinions on someone on a single instance. A wrestling will have one great match, be over as fuck for a week or two, then fans will just be sitting on their hands next time they're out there. Fans can never make up their mind about who they think is over and not - unless they're on allstar level.
>>8000414I agree, ECW invoked too much passion for the fans and like the internet completely changed wrestling forever.
>>8000529Agree with this, never liked Rollins
>>8000540There is no way wrestling will ever be popular again.
