One basically quit their seiyuu idol unit because they were busy being a mentally ill png streaming Animal Crossing for 250 people, some literally stream or whore as 3DPD on the side. An anime character is just more marketable for a company and easier or less degrading for a performer, in the same way there are some smoking hot gravure idols that became voice actresses.
Same as how many of the idol joshi are more than pretty enough to be normal idols but ended up fake fighting for weirdos like /pw/ instead
