for me it was the thing that made me like the miz. but it was ultimately where he peaked. worked or not he was right about bryan cutting his career/life short with his "workrate" nonsense and if he really wanted to wrestle again he could've always just fucked off back to the indies (which he ultimately did in the end).

the closest he ever got to recapturing that was the argument he had with big E.

basically big E was crying racism for why kofi lost the belt the way he did and miz was basically parroting the same shit that booker said about kofi's title run a day or two earlier in that kofi didn't really do anything different to reinvent himself and stuck to the new day shenanigans like he had before the title leading to him being seen as a boring champion.
