whether you like jungle boy or not, they are doing all the right things with him.

jurassic express is the act they have listened the most to in regards to constructive criticism.
they'e gotten rid of everything that was an embarrassment and changed it out with legit presentation.
he's still only like 25, so he just needs to get better on promos and continue to add muscle and he will be ready for the title within the next 3 years.

I think people really undersell just how bad the Sting partnership has been for Darby. Yes, his TNT title run occurred at the beginning of his partnership and that way the peak of his AEW run so far but since then he's been bogged down in feuds with undercard teams where the payoff to all his conflicts isn't about Darby overcoming the odds as a charismatic underdog but instead about Sting coming in to rescue him and nosell a bullet to the head to pop the marks. Darby's feud with Brodie King was actually pretty cool for a while but the moment where Sting took four seconds to lift himself out of the coffin and the match became about Sting saving Darby is a perfect example of how Tony has been fucking up Darby for nearly two years.
