Why in modern WWE and AEW is it only ever basically two guys trying to win the belt? One of the reasons WWE felt like it was full of stars during the late 90s and early 2000s was because you had a bunch of different wrestlers claiming they deserved the belt. You'd often have 3, 4, 5 or up to 6 way feuds for the top belt and you felt like it could go either way. Now one guy claims he is number 1 contender and everyone else politely waits 3 months for him to do his feud with the Champion before waiting to see if they are next in line.
