Personal opinion here but from around 2000 to around 2010 CZW was highly underrated looking back at it now. Any thoughts on the company at that time, the roster, matches?

I can't appreciate it like I use to, but I think if you're the average idiot on here whose only watched mainstream wrestling from the last 5 years you'd probably find a lot to like.

Even then, if you've only seen American wrestling from 90s onward I'd say CZW still has a lot to offer you.

Compared to any other indies at the time 2004 CZW is just as good as any of them.

2005 CZW might be the best year any indie had, outside of may 2007 ROH when they actually made an active effort to more heavyweights. They had basically propped up CHIKARA, using their best guys, while flying guys from California and Canada. And even 2006 still had a lot good going even if it was starting to drop off.

By the 2010s they had created their own identity again and I'd take Callihan, Younger and Moxley to anyone else on the indies at the time. If you're too much of a pussy to watch a death match there's still plenty of young buck style matches.

Garbage wrestling should have died and stayed dead around 2000 with ecw. Nobody has booked it well enough for it to be anything more than car crash meme wrestling paul e did for a few years but even by the end of the millennium that well ran dry.

This. ECW succeeded because of the talent. The promotion itself was always trash. Guys like Sabu, Sandman, Douglas, Dreamer, Raven, and Funk made ECW a big deal. And most of those guys ended up leaving because that kike heyman stopped paying them.

Other way around, CZW and Chikara shared talent and a training school. When that ended the quality of CZW drastically went down. I think they used the Chikara guys much better than Chikara did. A lot of it was Chikara minus the goofiness and comic book gimmicks.

One underrated thing CZW did better than any other indie and even AEW was multieman matches. But they could organically bump guys out of the match, guys rarely tripped over each other. For a company where the first 2 matches usually get boo'd out of the building for botches, their scramble matches just worked.

Fuck there's one match where it was like a 5 way and they had a rope hanging from the ceiling and guys were pulling off Tarzan shit without botching it. Meanwhile no one can even do a basic dive outside the ring these days without fucking it up.
