Once you go AEW, you're AEW for life. Even if he returns to the slop shop he will be eternally branded an "AEW guy" for life. On his gravestone it will describe him as an AEW on air talent.

This is so true. I keep forgetting they are even a faction. They barely even have an identity as a faction, usually don't even accompany each other to the ring, cut promos together, or do any of the things factions do. Why does the "BCC" even exist?

I imagine he wants to be back. His son is there, all the people he helped develop are getting pushed and he was HHH's second-in-command. If he took a one year contract with AEW, he obviously knew what was happening behind the scenes in WWE. Maybe that's why trannies will seethe, this nigga never cared about them anyway
