>>8072813If you just want see wrestler profiles, you can use puroresucentral, wikipedia or
puroresusystem.fandom.comIf you want to see general information about the promotions, I'd again recommend puroresusystem and just plain old wikipedia.
If you want to see matches, the promotions have various VOD/streaming services with live events and delayed events. Wrestle Universe has DDT, NOAH and TJPW on the same service, so you get 3 for the price of 1. If you don't want to pay for them, you probably want to get an XWT account. It used to be a lot easier to find shows/wrestlers on youtube than it is now.
I have a bunch of gifs, photos and match/show reviews on my site as well.
Japanese wrestling is different than American wrestling. It's more sports based, it's more in-ring focused and there's less storylines and over the top characters. New Japan Pro Wrestling is the biggest company, then Noah, Dragon Gate, DDT, All Japan and Big Japan are on the next rung below, then there's promotions below them. They run tours where they have shows for about 4-6 weeks, then they take off for a few weeks and do it again.
Japan also has a separate system for women's wrestling. Stardom's the biggest company and they tour around Japan. TJPW is the second biggest, but they tend to stick to Tokyo more and there's other smaller promotions like Ice Ribbon, Pure-J, WAVE, Marvelous, Diana and Sendai Girls that run.
