For whatever reason Michael Cole is now going with this narrative of they’ve been best friends for 20 years, and Kevin was the best man at Sami’s wedding. They are acknowledging other companies and past history to a degree rarely ever seen in the WWE, but for some reason are ignoring the fact that these guys have such a huge history of absolutely hating each other, and are in both of their own words, destined to fight forever. It’s the same stupidity that is driving them to say that AJ styles and Finn Bálor are long term rivals despite the fact that they barely if at all ever interacted in any company before WWE.
