They went for the long throw and there is no point stopping the reign now for nothing. Go Big, go broke and the trade off that the end of the reign will be a huge thing....for a while at least.
But Roman should lose a god damn 10 man special match with no belts on the line when you risk MacIntyre getting deflated again to oblivion and the rest farting about.
It's just a joke at this point to make a big fuzz about a baby face alliance rising up, and still get absolutely trashed by the end of it.
This match ended with Roman laying there, they attempted the "oh look he can be downed" - moment but the pay off still comes out of one his Bloodline goons interfering, same as a lot of his title defenses. This wasn't anything new.
But what the real subtext was, is that you can put the 3 biggest name challengers of the titles together + a tag team and they will still lose to Roman. He is utterly protected by the script and they aren't doing a good job hiding it because he has become "one-punch man" -the wrestler for real.
And thus they have arrived to a corner they have written themselves into, who is gonna get excited to see someone like Kross get their Roman shot without a MitB? Now you gonna need atleast 4 big stars and a tag team to get close?
Oh Kross is gonna go in solo now and win after that? What a magical man he is! Is one Cody better than Roman and 4 lackeys? Ok so Drews gonna try solo 4 bloodline again? They made Reigns too hard to get to.
