To strategically deny any future competitor access to the name of a company that beat him in the ratings for a few weeks, have access to the library for retrospective stuff without having to pay for licensing and selling NWO merch and big gold belts (which people bootleg both those anyway). It seems like it’s this bargain basement price for a valuable commodity buts it’s not really. Maybe after 20 years it’s paid for itself in being convenient but again, it was a market of one, Vince wasn’t in a bidding war and if they would have said our accountants think this is worth 10 Vince would have said I wish you luck in your future endeavors.
