There's quite a few pre-wrestlemania I matches that are worth watching like Hogan vs Funk, the Orndorff feud. You could argue that Hogan never had a truely bad, stinker of a match until 1991 against dimeless shitter Sgt Slaughter

Aside from matches already mentioned, Hogan had a series of tag team matches with Junkyard Dog against the Funk Brothers (Terry and Dory Jr.) in 85 or 86. Both were quite good. If I remember right, one of them is on SNME and the other was a Boston Gardens show you can find in the Old School collection on the Network. The latter was the better match of the two.

The concept of the ultimate challenge was great, but the match sucked. The crowd didn't really lit up until the finish where both Hogan and Warrior did their bow up spots.

The Orndorff steel cage match was pretty good. They both hit the floor at the same time so they had to restart the match. One great thing about Hogan was his selling. It made his hulking up that much greater. Problem was he was a big dude, brother so he needed bigger guys like Bubba Rogers, John Studd, and Andre
