>>8139888I'm just a guy on /pw/, but here's how I'd have pulled this off in that venue.
>mount pyro in one or two corners of the ring, under the mat, via a whole in the backing board of the ring, performers need to know where this is and not step on it, and to lay on other side of the ring for finish.>mount non pyrotechnic "smoke" explosions under the ring facing out on all sides>figure out a way to surround at least the bottom of the ring with some kind of barrier, fence or solid, to diffuse the smoke upward>at the end of the match once Eddie covers, a guy at a control booth sets off the pyro>before viewers watching the first time live realize there's only 1 or two actual explosions, set off the under ring smoke, so it billows up and surrounds the ringThat gives you time to do whatever gimmicks you need to do to make the ring look like shit after the smoke clears. The whole idea is dumb because there's no way to singe a guy's close without burning him alive, but there's a million better ways to do it than what AEW did.
