When you believe everything is discretionary, preying on children or being attracted to them isn't a taboo to you, and you will work to change society to see things your way. This is why a massively disproportionate number of 20th century leftist authors were open pedophiles, or at least campaigned to lower age of consent laws. The most open were the Allen Ginsberg types who founded NAMBLA, all open leftists/communists. And not that it's fully related, but most of them are also mentally ill. This allows them to prey on people who also are, or at least believe they are societal or economic misfits. Hence the rigid rejection of tradition and capitalism.
