Original rumours were that Rampage would be Cody's show and Dynamite would be Tony's, ultimately Tony didn't want to do that. Cody also wanted to focus on homegrown talent and building up people from the Indies + the Nightmare Factory, but Tony was interested in WWE/NXT people. Cody wanted to appeal to a wider fanbase with more variety in the shows, Tony wanted to focus on their core hardcore fanbase. Ultimately, Tony wouldn't budge and Cody decided to ditch the idea of being an EVP / backstage gyy and just focus on his own career as a wrestler and winning the top title for his dad.
