In America if you mention wrestling to a random person out and about they’re going to think that you mean WWE if you do this in Japan, there is a chance that you get old people saying oh giant baba giant baba young people might say New Japan if you’re lucky. A few of them might be confused and think you’re talking about sumo wrestling and a pretty much nonexistent amount would go to joshi wrestling. It’s just not the same.
