From Media Matters, a Family-Friendly Research Firm:
>A new independent study has ranked the “worst” media for kids to consume at an early age. And, somewhat unsurprisingly, WWE is at the top of the list.
>A 10 year long study found that children who watched at least 2 hours of WWE programming a week were at an increased risk of autism, diabetes, obesity, and kidney diseases. In addition, it led to a shocking 75% increase in risk of bipolar disorder, 46% increase in depression, and a 31% increase in rage control issues.
>Professor Bryan Norman of the University of Pittsburgh also added: “There’s a phenomenon where many WWE watchers grow into a state of arrested development. These are physically men, but with the social skills of children. They generally live alone or with their parents, do not date, and do not have a circle of friends.”
