I'm not a fan of gofundme for this type of thing. I get shit happens, but this is poor planning a lot of the time. There are plenty of careers that could have provided him with healthcare. He also retired before 2000s and could have started a second career not only to make money, but also to have health insurance, 401K, etc.

Windham is not rich by any means. He lives in a very modest house in Florida. Cornette has said the guys in Midnight Express each got $225k/year in mid 80s. Windham was in Crocket during that time so let's say he got $225k/year during his prime from mid 86-1991. In the 90s he was bouncing back and forth between WCW and WWF.until 1998. Doesn't seem like it would be enough to live comfortably for the rest of your life without having to get another job.
