the TLC match is what sold me on The Shield, so this promo is also right before they showed how good they actually were

They were rougher around the edges than most of the WWE stuff at the time and less "Dumb" They brought some anger and violence. The promos also didn't seem very scripted.
I was hoping this was the first sign WWE was moving in a new direction, as I had been critical for some time. About 10 years is usually what WWE runs an "Era" for. Realized after a while I was wrong. That took almost 10 more years and Vince being removed.
2012/13 Sheild stuff is actually re-watchable.

Haven't watched WWE in years, so I wouldn't know. Also quit watching AEW so don't get your panties in a bunch.
Dean Ambrose peaked 2012-2013. Then he got together with Rene, and it was over LOL.
She said he looked like a "Psycho" at the time. I guess the lunatic fringe look, then the aging alcoholic look, was a nice look to make sure she could keep him or something.
Women can be scary life and career wise, that's for sure...

He stills gets nice paychecks, tho. But all the shit talking about WWE and having likely fucked Steph likely burned that WWE bridge in retrospect.

Mox is the coolest one in my opinion but his love of being a garbage deathmatch wrestler knocks him down a peg. Seth is the most talented one but has been booked like shit for years now. Roman's THE GUY and was always gonna be THE GUY from the get go. He "looks the part" and finally is allowed to be cool.
