If I could reccomend berserk a specific way is that if you watch the 97 anime you should watch from episode 2 onwards and then watch episode 1 after the series is over. Likewise I feel that because its so heavily laid on thick as to who the villain is in the first two volumes I would say skip those and read the whole golden age arc and once that is finished read the first two volumes then bounce back into reading. Berserk truly is special and has influenced so much in its time. To call it reddit shows you've never read the manga because the shit that happens in the manga would repeatedly break most redditors.
Also based corkus calls guts a fag at least one time and there's other homophobic slurs in the book so that too would fuck them.
In reading the manga I am thoroughly surprised at how much naked casca I have gotten to see. It's enjoyable having one of the hottest anime girls drawn all sorts of ways by the hands that actually draw her. Its not a fan's interpretation its the author's.
