Some of these shows (more than half, even, I believe) were hardcam-only, which is perplexing to me for a big tournament with six shows total. This match is fun as hell, sadly very hurt by the camerawork.

It's understandable, I suppose. Still a shame. I remember that NOAH show where Miyawaki or Yano (one of their young boys, anyway) bladed to the bone and bled like mad, but it was a hardcam show and half of the action happened behind the fuckin' apron. The pics from it looked good, but it was just a reminder of how cool it could've looked with proper camerawork.
As an onlooker who can't watch live shows and has no insight into the company's economics, I'd prefer if they just ran less of the nothing road-tos and never did hardcam shows. Can always dream, I suppose.

Another good match, really hurt by the hardcam. It's not as good as their match from the King of DDT tournament, in my opinion, but the finishing stretch from this one's great. Really helped by the handful of kids that are SO into this match and rooting for Ueno with 110%.

The stuff he did with them at the NOAH crossover show was cute. The strongest impressions the Dragongate roster has left on me with their NOAH crossovers have been Shun (maybe unsurprisingly) and Minoura. I'd really hoped some kind of challenge had come from when they invaded earlier during the Majestic shows.

Definitely true.
Like >>8206095 said there's definite highlights. They tend to put on a couple good matches a year but it's very hit-or-miss as a division. Ridgeway's fantastic, but he's been underutilized in singles, barely there and could be even better as a heavyweight.

Pretty good match. Not the best in the tournament (from what I watched, that'd be Yoshimura vs. Ueno) or the best DDT match of the year or anything like that, but pretty good. Impressed by Naya, as I didn't think much of him at all before this. He plays the bully heel role very well, and the first half of the match especially is great because of this. It sort of loses itself in no-sells and kickouts (especially the former) towards the end, but it doesn't ruin the entire thing for me as much as it sours me on some of the action itself.
In case there's some DDTbros in here, what'd you think, which match was your favorite?
