More on Sasha Banks and AEW

No.8203287 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
From the Fightful show "Day After Dynamite" with Will Washington and Andrew Zarian

>A source described the situation to Washington as, “very reminiscent of what happened with CM Punk.” There was a belief before the PW Insider report that January was always going to be the biggest month for Sasha Banks but assumed it was a return at the RR. Now she’s booked for WK and Tony Khan just announced the Killer and the Pillar vs. Saraya and a mystery partner for January 11, a little over a month in advance

>Zarian says everything pointed to her going back to WWE. He did wonder why she was training with Juvy in Mexico and goes into how much she genuinely loves wrestling, has done everything you could do in WWE, and he personally wants to see her do something else.

>Zarian says he wouldn’t be surprised if Sasha wanted to go elsewhere because the “wrestling fan wrestlers” who work for WWE still feel they are too limited with what they can do in the ring and notes those restrictions don’t exist in AEW/New Japan.

>Washington says he has a little bit on his podcast where people ask him his percentage of Sasha Banks appearing in AEW vs. WWE. He said a month ago was 90% WWE; 2% AEW; 8% elsewhere. That percentage dropped for WWE in the last month, around the time she filed those trademarks, to 70% but his AEW percentage only rose to 6%.

>He then tweeted out yesterday without context 60% and he is now applying that percentage to Sasha Banks in AEW

>He cautions this is just speculation but references Konnan's report from the people training Sasha down in Mexico that she won’t wrestle until January. He questioned why that would be the case. As far as WWE is concerned, they have the ability to bring her back any time they wish. Why wait until January?
