If these people could kick Elite out of AEW and replace them with Punk permanently *AND* it meant AEW would halve its ratings for good, they would 100% do it. They literally don't give a shit about ratings, they're just podcast cuckold minions doing his bidding. Benoit may have dumbed his shit down after the neck surgery, but he was still awesome. He had plenty of great matches past the point you mention in late 2005. The Armageddon match where people thought he might get swept and leave for TNA/NJPW was a highlight. The Orton/Regal/Finlay/MVP/Edge matches. Always bumped and sold his ass off, to the end.
