>According to sources close to the situation, Triple H and WWE executives are concerned that UFC's decision to feature MJF at the event will give AEW added exposure and legitimacy, furthering their competition with WWE, who UFC had previously had a healthy working relationship with.

>WWE executives are said to be concerned about the potential impact on their business, as they have been working hard to build relationships with other sports organizations in an effort to cross-promote and build their brand.

>Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, is said to be particularly angry about the situation, as he has been at the forefront of WWE's efforts to dominate the professional wrestling landscape since accepting the role as WWE's Chief Content Officer following the retirement of former WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon in July 2022.

>AEW's World Heavyweight Champion MJF was featured in the crowd at UFC 282 after taunting UFC's Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett on social media, where MJF called the MMA fighter a "dollar store Connor McGregor"and Pimblett accused the pro-wrestler of taking steroids.

>In a video shared by UFC's social media accounts saw MJF claim that he was looking forward to watching Pimblett "get knocked the f*** out." Unfortunately for MJF, the outcome of the fight wasn't the one he wanted. Pimblett defeated Jared Gordon in the third round to pick up his fourth consecutive UFC victory.

>It remains to be seen how WWE and UFC will address the situation moving forward, but it is clear that this is a source of tension between the two promotions.
