It would need to be the story of a guy who was a faction leader, a guy who built a faction around himself, and would need a lot of established faction work and feuds to build them up.
But then he turns on them to make it to the top, betrays them and turns heel to become the top champ.

Not sure if anyone has had that story exactly.
