This was when they had HHH cursing and hitting everyone that moved with a sledgehammer and the crowd was sitting on their hands. What really made HHH popular was the stuff with Stephanie, especially once they turned, and the feud with Foley.
Foley had 100% likability and HHH beating Foley, got HHH over as fuck as a dick heel.
