Because wrestling is a dying industry. Nobody watches this shit anymore and wrestling fans know it. Lucha Underground was some of the best wrestling in the past two decades. But none of that mattered in the end because it didn't draw enough dimes to stay afloat. Maybe it was the fact it was on a tv station nobody had, maybe it was bad advertising or maybe the concept was just too strange but ultimately LU perished due to chronic dime deprivation. Death via lack of dimes is a very real possiblity for most wrestling promotions active today. Even WWE is beginning to worry about it more and more when the only dimes they draw are from action figure sponsorships and Saudi dictators. In wrestling, if it doesn't draw dimes, it doesn't survive, so all we talk about is dimes.
