If I were the one to book the Inoki tribute match for Wrestle Kingdom, I would've brought back Kazuyuki Fujita and have him beat the shit out of Tanahashi.
Inoki's last and greatest soldier vs the ungrateful little bitch who tried destroying his legacy would've been a much better send off than a six man featuring Tiger Mask IV of all people.

It is preposterous that the NJPW Inoki Memorial Show doesn’t feature a full card of Inokiism wrestlers and fighters. That is why INOKI BOM-BA-YE x Ganryujima produced by Naoya Ogawa is the real Inoki Memorial Show.

It's perfectly logical for NJPW to celebrated Inoki's career as a professional wrestler because he put together the Bom-Ba-Ye variety show with money from his will. It would've shit all over the Ganryujima show if NJPW had made Wrestle Kingdom an Inoki-ism show

Fujinami was one of the first wrestlers Inoki trained and helped Inoki build New Japan.
He was meant to be Inoki's successor, but he was unexpectedly overtaken by Choshu.
Fujita and Yasuda are Inoki's worst disciples and represent the dark ages of New Japan.
They should have negotiated to have Nakamura appear.
