Why can't promoters sort out the dimes anymore?

I know /aspw/ disagrees on many things but generally there is a consensus on where wrestler belongs in the card, we sniff out shitters all the way from the developmental and almost always know whos dimes by the time they reach the main roster, so why can't the bigwigs see it?

There's no more carnies to recruit, and all the professional athletes don't see wrestling as a lucrative industry to get into anymore. The entire talent pool is 99% marks, even big guys over 6'0" 230lbs are marks.

They don't care. They're on autopilot. Everyone is just using their position to get paid and use their power to gain friends or get laid. It's not about who is over with the crowd. It's about who can suck backstage dick or kiss ass the best. And once friendships are developed, like HHH and Regal, you're set for life. Veer had great promo and debut where is he now?
Lashley should never lose to the dimeless shitters like Seff and should basically be Lesnar when Lesnar is not around
Autism Theory, again not super great but should be in upper midcard at least

No. Elias is just not cool and his little sing alongs make me want to throw up in my mouth. I didn't like rollins at first because of the Sting thing but he is quite skilled both in and out of the ring. Rollins needs to drop the faggy outfits but that's his only problem.
