As a child, Bray Wyatt had an imaginary friend named Uncle Howdy. His parents eventually took him to a therapist and Uncle Howdy was forgotten. However, the next year, Bray’s parents disappeared and Bray was taken in by Sister Abigail.
Sister Abigail taught young Bray the dark arts and the power of suggestion, eventually kidnapping him from the orphanage and taking him to her swamp compound.
While there, Bray performed a ritual which put him into contact with The Fiend, a million year old spirit that he haunted humanity for generations.
Bray absorbed the power of the Fiend and, at first, kept it locked in his imaginary Firefly Funhouse.
The Fiend encountered Uncle Howdy inside Bray’s mind palace and the two spirits formed an uneasy and unholy alliance dedicated to being born anew in the world.
When the Fiend re-emerged in the physical realm Uncle Howdy was also able to escape, taking refuge in a host body that has yet to be revealed.
Uncle Howdy has the powers of teleportation, possession, matter manipulation, pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and possibly even more given his time spent around The Fiend.
