Decided to cozy up with the TV and HBO Max tonight to check out that new Black Adam flick. Awesome. Exactly what I wanted from a Superhero Blockbuster. Lotta action and a helluva lot more heart. Just flippy bullshit from someone pretending to be an actor. Can't sell. Can't tell a coherent story, I mean, what was up with the Eternium? Hot shotting the Rock as Teth Adam. And not only does the Rock not sell, which is a damn shame because we know he's able to sell, damn WB can't book a damn movie starring the friggin' Rock. But on top of all that, what was up with all the flying and lasers that exposed the business. On top of that, the Rock broke kayfabe when he switches from Black Adam to Teth Adam in front of goddamn everyone.

Bullshit 4th wall breaking with the kid having toys and posters of all the other heroes. Literally breaking the (4th) wall isn't clever, it's goofy bullshit that ruins it for everyone else.

And of course, Calvill got fired after working with Mr. I Have A History Of Real Heat With Other Jacked Stars Johnson. Sounds like backstage bullshit to me.

my old roomates and I watched Entourage in its entirety (do not recommend baby bro) and then Ballers started up. I think we watch 4 seasons as they released, and holy fuck I couldn't even tell you what most season were about. John David Washington and Rob Ellroy were the only decent parts, everything else was Dwayne wanking in custom suits.

I liked the part where the Rock said he was gonna destroy the NFL and their racism on his show and then did nothing.

The slow motion scene where he stops a bullet but can't make it in time to stop the shooter from putting on a crown at the same time makes no sense. I just watched the movie and I'm unironically PEEVED by that scene. Did the shooter drop his gun, put the crown in both hands, raise it, and then lower it on to his head in the blink of an eye?
