AEW's at a big crossroad. Discovery is being explicitly more hands on, demanding Punk be brought back and pushed as the face of the company. The Elite point blank refuse to work with Punk or FTR, the later of which Tony is desperately wanting to re-sign and has decided to be the adult in the relationship and basically go public with the idea of everyone working together.

IF the Elite refuse to work with Punk/FTR, expect there to be major ramifications for the Elite in terms of air time and position on the card.

The plan currently being pitched is FTR/Punk beating the Elite for the trios belt, with the trios belt being a containment field for the three and to help ensure Punk doesn't hurt himself again.

The Elite, who Discovery doesn't like or consider to be "big stars", will then be jobbed out to the Acclaimed and MJF in return. And from there their position in the company re-evaluated depending on whether or not they get MJF/Acclaimed over to Discovery's liking.

Omega is not happy with the new Discovery overlords; AT&T were willing to believe the idea of the Elite being stars, but Discovery doesn't believe it for one second and has told the Bucks to their faces that they aren't stars. Adding to this, is the fact that Omega and the Bucks are going to be scorched earth buried, no matter what. If they don't face Punk/FTR, then Kenny's going to have to job and job hard to MJF and the Bucks humiliated on a weekly basis at the hands of the Acclaimed as far as Omega/MJF and Acclaimed/Bucks being penciled into plans for 2023, regardless of Punk coming back/FTR re-upping.
