The sad thing about Shane Douglas is that he does have a real legacy in the business, he was ahead of his time in promos and character work that has aged well to this day, but it's all tarnished because he can't get over the fact that he couldn't be the top guy in WCW or WWE. And even then, to be fair to the guy, he would have been a better choice to go with Russo's main even Jeff Jarrett.

Ric Flair shoots on Shane Douglas too. Don't see the issue. Flair held him back early in his career, so when he won the NWA title he threw it on the ground and mocked Flair's legacy, Flair responded numerous times in shoot interviews and it's been a back and forth thing. This isn't one sided.

Should have stayed in ECW as "The Franchise" and kept the Triple Threat going. He got injured for over a year and the ECW fans patiently waited for his return only for him to make one appearance and immediately go to WCW. Ruined his legacy.
