I knew this week would have a drop. The Elite seem to think back to back matches with almost no drama, and opening with a 20 minute fall fest, is a draw. They have always hovered around 900k, AEW has been cold 90% of its existence. Stop making out like he was a mega draw. You think they should beg him for the 60k extra viewers he might bring? By having punk as your top guy you are putting a hard cap on your company. MJF showing up at UFC was bad enough but if Punk showed up at UFC as the champ AEW would be a total laughing stock. You cant have him doing any appearances as champ outside of the wrestling bubble because he is a meme and nobody respects him. They will not create any new viewers with Punk as champion so he is not worth the hassle for the occasional milly. The elite are cringe shitters too so AEW is a disaster all the way through
