Man, it took a Special Breed to be a Pro Wrestler. You had to have the “GIFT,” the “IT FACTOR.” The ability to be a great athlete and a great actor all rolled into one—you had to be “Special.” But, as all these young marks will tell you today, “THINGS HAVE CHANGED.” You know what— you’re damn right they have. Going into 2023—ANYBODY can be a Professional Wrestler. You don’t need a “Gift,” the “IT Factor,” or the ability to be a great actor and a great athlete simultaneously. You don’t need to look like a wrestler, smell like a wrestler, or act like a wrestler. No, you need a . . . wait for it . . . a “DREAM.” If you had a “DREAM” of being a wrestler when you were 5—then you’re IN!!! The “ART” of being a Wrestler today is DEAD. Every week people come on my screen that literally look, act and talk like my next-door neighbor. They are just like everybody else. There is nothing special about them. There are no “Luscious” Johnny’s, “Handsome” Jimmy’s, or Captain Lou’s. To be honest with you . . . they are wannabees who will never be. The fans have lowered the bar. We’ve made it easy for anybody to get into this once “exclusive” club” -Vince Russo on a article he wrote (On the current state of wrestling) for webisjericho

I don't know why people hate Russo so much, he's clearly correct

>>8408540 >>8408564 What a retarded take. Those people were there before Russo started booking and they were getting trampled by WCW.
Face it smarks. None of your little circlejerk cucks like Cornette or Tony can outbook Russo.

>>8407992 I strongly disagree with him, if he cared about wrestling instead of being stuck in his past glory he would understand that art and entertainment evolve alongside it's audience. He is just like Cornette in the sense that both are arrogant, opinionated and close minded individuals who believe they have the last word on wrestling and instead of wondering why modern wrestling is the way it is they decide to criticize it with muddy terms to ensure their worldview is protected.
