Mick is just really lucky he was born in the 60s because in post-Benoit WWE where he wouldn't be able to do his HIAC type of spots and would have his promos written for him, there is no way a guy like him would be able to get over he debuted today. he was great in his time and place but wouldn't work in this PG zoomer shit era.

I think it's actually more Disney's fault... Vince has always wanted to run a movie studio and not a wrestling company. in the 90s, when the media was all about things like Jerry Springer, Howard Stern, Jackass and "shock TV", WWF got edgy to keep up. now that everything is about inclusivity and TikTok and capeshit, you have nothing but manlet zoomers, minorities and womeme in the top spots and (just like hollywood) they rely on nostalgia pops to try to make anyone give a fuck because of how bad it's gotten. Vince just follows the trends
