My guess is that maybe MJF tries to cost Bryan the match, like how MJF lost to Shawn Dean, so there will probably be more to it than just a drawn-out jobber match. And it's obviously part of the build to Bryan vs MJF. Still, your first time in a big market like this I think you should choose to put on a big match instead of continuing to build a storyline.
It's like the Dynamite after Punk debuted. Tony went with business as usual and continued to build matches for the PPV instead of doing a blowaway show.

Darby, who lost a title match to Joe like 2 weeks ago, is now in a title match again for no reason and if he wins it he buries the entire title programme and drags Joe and eardlow lower down the card.
