But they've never teased it.There was a whole news cycle of Meltzer and others complaining they haven't followed up and TK refusing to answer questions before Sasha's contract was completely done. This morning Sasha saying New Japan is just her first stop, then Saraya tweeting this looks like they're starting to lean in. We'll see what happens on the show.

Keeping it a surprise won't do anything to help sell tickets or increase ratings

"The First Dance" was different because 1) they at least hyped that the "First Dance" was going to be an event that you didn't want to miss 2) Punk was also teasing it on his end 3) there was a level of "almost confirmed" that Punk had signed and that had been circulating for months

The rumors of Sasha and NJPW are a lot more concrete than the rumors of Sasha and AEW
This is actually a terrible way to capitalize on her notoriety
