Morever, the swerve type booking is what led us to modern day WWE arcs, trying to get over on the spoiler marks instead of consistent booking that allows for genuine and profitable marketing (i.e. Bloodline - Sami breaking out as potentially top talent). Even for someone like Darby, the win feels absolutely outta nowhere *forced* now we're at a level of one too many dudes in a feud with pity pay offs.

To be fair Darby softened him up at the start of the match with a suprise torpedo dive from behind and multiple beatings with his skateboard.

Wasn't a fair fight, but Joe was bullying some kid on his way to the ring so that's their excuse for it.

Sounds bad initially on paper but when you see it unfold you know they did this fairly correctly considering the mess it's been leading up to it.
