His chosen predecessor did the opposite cutting costs and has only tanked the stock. Iger has no issues spending to add content if he thinks its right.

Disney didn't merge Fox movies into Disney when they purchase it. They left the brand and removed "Fox" from it. That's it. That was because they understood he value the brand had alone and that it could make content that was not "Disney brand" that way.
