Dude tried to shit talk some spots early on but in between the 5 to 10 minute make it became obvious he was liking it. Every painful looking spot he winced, the man who said wrestling was fake was astonished to see how much connected which at first he was quick to point out the fakeness of wrestling. By the end of the match he was completely invested in it. I dont think he'll watch njpw on the regular but I know the next time I tell him hey watch this njpw match with me he will.
To him ospreay vs. omega was the most painful realest looking match that wasnt gimmick and that he hates wwe and wrestling in america but he now sees why I've been ranting about NJPW for 4 years.
It was very satisfying to get my friend who like wrestling the least and is so vocally against it to go into that match wanting to prove himself right and instead he enjoyed a fantastic match.
