These fucktards figured out a formula that worked and then drove it into the freaking ground, go back and watch around this time 99-2002. These guys relied on catchphrases left and right it's no wonder people stopped watching. When trash like Chris Jericho were coming up with catchphrases that sure as hell were not as catchy as the top guy's catchphrases that's when you know the entire thing was screwed, yes catchphrases have always and will always be a thing but these guys drove the whole thing as well as the formula of the promos into the ground, watch any Stephanie McMahon segment around this time and it's all just her going off about something then X wrestler talks about how she's a slut and then so forth, the entire shows became a very predictable sitcom in order to please the dummed down mainstream audience who they couldn't keep, the ruthless aggression era went back into more grounded shit and that's why these fag attitude era fanboys don't like the era because their era was mostly dummed down shit for the masses.

At the time that would have been fresh.
To us it's not because he got it so over it essentially became the WWE superstar blueprint and countless shitters do it now. It's like how the Authority angle was the hottest thing back then with Austin vs McMahon but now it's stale shit because it became a blueprint style of feud they do over and over.

He was face from mid 99 and he was really popular throughout 2000 until he left in mid 01 so they didnt turn on him that quickly. He was popular when he came back too i but i dont care about anything after invasion i wasnt watching. They didnt start turning on him until 02

The thing is he needed to get the catchphrases over in the first place before he could actually spam them. Thats when he was based, in the first 1 or 2 years. After that it was instantly just "Rocks greatest hits" and thats why WWE is shit now. Thats the formular they use for every wrestler now.
