>>8510492Few fans may remember Don 'The Jackyl' Callis, who acted as the manager of the Truth Commission and Oddities stables in the late 90s. Neither unit lasted long, but Callis certainly made an impression on the WWE locker room during his brief stint in McMahonland.
It has never been revealed exactly what Callis did to annoy the WWE locker room. In a
WWE.com interview earlier this year, Callis himself couldn't figure out why he was released but said that he did 'probably everything' to get it. Scores of WWE stars have come out over the years and said that Calli's heat was nuclear, even if there was no one isolated incident that caused it.
Callis' heat was so intense that he was at one point thrown out of the locker room. How do we know this? Because JBL demanded that The Hardy Boys (who were just enhancement/midcard guys at that point) snap off tooth picks in his car door locks to make amends for one of their indiscretions (taking Kan'e first class plane seat) during wrestler's court and gain acceptance in the WWE locker room.
In their 2003 autobiography Exist 2 Inspire, the Hardys go through the process of doing the toothpick gimmick and mention in passing that Callis, who was not named but it is obvious who they are referring to, was changing away from the locker room.
