>>8514099Unironically, Christian's got the better list. First of all, the whole "winning the world title 800 quadjillion times" is a damning accolade. It means you've lost 800 quadjillion +1 times. It's okay for real sports like boxing, because they don't get up to those silly high numbers and the last 1 or 2 tend to be after a long lay off, so it represents some sorta triumphant return.
Christian's reigns are longer, meaning that in kayfabe, he would be able to parlay the fact that he was champion for longer. Imagine becoming the heavyweight boxing champion of the world and then losing it the next week. Sure, you win it back at the next PPV but it means you can't do any commercials as champion in-between championships.
Finally, that Christian has one more tag championship than Edge, coupled with Edge's kayfabe inability to consistently retain, would indicate that it was Edge who was responsible for most if not all their losses as tag champs.
This would be different if aside from the tag titles, Christian only ever got the US or European titles. But since he's gotten top titles before, it paints the picture that he's a more reliable champion.
Popularity/marketability aside, a gym would rather have a consistent champion level athlete like Christian than a more talented but highly inconsistent athlete like Edge.
