I was at the peak ages of 11-14 during the Attitude Era and I always preferred the Rock to Stone Cold, but I think between friends it was around 50:50 split preferred one or the other. Looking back, Rock is more of a GOAT than Stone Cold. Stone Cold's heel turn failed and much as his redneck drinking beer was and is over, I think he was a one-trick pony promo-wise. Also, Stone Cold only ever looked out for himself, the Rock was happy to work with just about anyone and put anyone over. The only person Stone Cold put over clean after his face-turn in 1997 was The Rock in his retirement match in 2003 and he was also funny about who he worked with. Apparently, he was too scared of getting injured to work with Benoit of Angle initially because of their catch wrestling mixed with high-flying style.
