You need to know more about the history of Mexico to understand. The history of Mexico is riddled with self-hate and the truth is that yes, they are a mongrel people, bred and cross-bred a thousand times with indigenous tribes but then just as often at war with those same people. Indians would slaughter Mexicans brutally, especially Apache, and the Mexican army would come in and massacre a village or two. It's a country largely built on rape and murder, whether it's the Spaniards, the indios, or the Mexicans themselves doing the rape/murder or being victimized by it.
