That's what made it good, it's not what made it get noticed. It got noticed because wrestling was breaking taboos that viewers were trained to acknowledge and eventually grew tired of. Today there's no more taboos in wrestling, and no one is interested in leaving their entertainment bubble, so it will never be like that again.
TL/DR doesn't matter how good the stories were,wrestling was a fad that burned itself out

You're right, but to be completely fair, I knew people who said that back then. I'm not lying, either. Difference is, more people think like that now, thanks to exposure to the modern internet. The average person was less likely to come across "redpills" back then. I remember it.
