I've been a fire pro wrestling guy ever since I discovered it through a YouTube ECW tribute that had pretty much everyone in the roster as VERY well made CAWs doing spots that looked much better than the svr games. What a great game.

For years War Zone on PSX was my only wrestling game. Initially I expected it to be like Tekken but with wrestling characters, took me awhile to appreciate it for what it was.
I've since played many others and recognize it probably isn't the best one but I'll always have a soft spot for it. Plus I like the way it has commentary, instead of just looping a song with dynamic crowd noise like several other games released around that time.

As a kid I was more into WCW than WWF but I was totally oblivious to the WCW and ECW Aki games, as far as I knew No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 were the only ones they made. My entire experience with WCW games was Thunder and Mayhem.

I always wanted to play that one but I had a Ps2 and Gamecube but no Xbox. I think it was one of the first games to have entrance run-ins too. Also had my boy Spike Dudley when other PS2/GC games of the 2003 era didn't have him for some reason.

Growing up I had Super Wrestlemania -> Wrestlemania 2000 > No Mercy > Wrestlemania X8 > Wrestlemania XIX > SvR2006 > SvR2010 > WWE All-Stars > WWE 13 > 2k14 > 2k16

I've emulated the ps1 and early ps2 game since then, just doing the career modes in them. Also rented the WCW n64 games a few times.

I bought Mayhem for ps1 and n64. I got the ps1 version first then a few months later the n64 game. I didn't originally olan on buying the n64 version i was hoping to get wcw/nwo revenge but Kay bee didnt have it. I made my mom drive me 2 hours to kay bee and figured i better get SOMETHING otherwise she'd be pissed. Shit game btw both versions.
