I never tell anyone to watch wrestling for obvious reasons, but I managed to convince my hipster art school friends to watch Lucha Underground and they loved it too. Does anyone else feel that NXT is taking inspiration from it? It won't ever be as good but I like that it sort has some elements of it, with the cinematic vignettes and outlandish characters like Tony D, Dijak, Scrypts, Chase U etc. I didn't watch the last few years of black and gold, but even the stuff I've seen like that Chinese supernatural cult reeked of LU to me.
